Fresh Cup Magazine has published an article that we absolutely couldn't resist clicking on.

Essentially, scientists have been experimenting with using lasers to speed up cold-brew extraction of coffee. They discovered that with just 3 minutes of irradiation -- which does not heat up the liquid -- the laser-enhanced brew is qualitatively similar (though not identical) to a 12 hour cold water extraction.

Is the beginning of a beautiful relationship between two of our very favorite things in the world, lasers and coffee? What sort of pandora's box are these scientists opening up?!
